Open Educational Materials of the sustainability-focused Project-Based Learning (PBL) experience implemented in the Bachelor’s Degree in Management and Production Engineering, as part of the Elective Technical Courses Chemical Engineering, at SUT.
The challenge asked students to design and manufacture a functional product using waste, reclaimed, or recycled materials, applying principles of sustainable development and the circular economy. The objective was to complete the entire product development process, from material selection and concept design to prototyping and evaluation, while considering resource efficiency, environmental impact, durability, and opportunities for material reuse and recycling.
