Open Educational Materials of the sustainability-focused Project-Based Learning (PBL) experience implemented at the Center of Languages, Learning and Culture for Bachelor’s and Masterβs Degree students, as part of the elective Intercultural Competence and Communication Course, at MUL.
The challenge placed students in a fictional but realistic scenario involving a planned lithium mine, where they assumed different stakeholder roles to explore competing interests and perspectives. The objective was to analyse the project through intercultural, interdisciplinary, and sustainability perspectives, applying the SDGs, planetary boundaries, and GreenComp competences to negotiate sustainability trade-offs and develop strategies for effective communication and collaboration in addressing complex global challenges.
