Open Educational Materials of the sustainability-focused Project-Based Learning (PBL) experience implemented in the Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, as part of the Project Management Course, at ULE.
The challenge was developed in collaboration with MMR Bikes, providing students with a real industrial product, the MMR New Simun gravel bike. The objective was to analyse the bicycle according to environmental sustainability and circular economy criteria and propose technical improvements to reduce its environmental impact, considering materials, manufacturing processes, life-cycle footprint, reuse, repair, and recycling.
