🎓ENVIHEI joined the 2026 Student Days at the Ponferrada Campus of the University of León, an existing event organised by the Student Council of the University of León to welcome students and promote participation in university life at the beginning of the new academic year.
🤝 In collaboration with the 🇪🇺 Europe Direct Centre, ENVIHEI had the opportunity to introduce the project to students and share our work on student-centered learning for environmental sustainability in higher education.
🎲 To make sustainability learning engaging and interactive, we organised activities focused on environmental sustainability, with 25 participants taking part. The activities invited students to test their knowledge, reflect on everyday sustainability challenges and explore different ways of contributing to a more sustainable future.
💡 These activities provided a fun and informal way to connect with students while highlighting one of ENVIHEI’s key ideas: learning about sustainability can be participatory, practical and engaging. By putting students at the centre of the activities, we encouraged them to share ideas, discuss sustainability issues and learn from each other.
🤝 The Student Days also gave us the opportunity to talk directly with students about ENVIHEI and the role they can play in creating more sustainable and participatory learning environments. Connecting with students beyond the classroom is an important part of promoting student-centred approaches across higher education.
🌱 From the Ponferrada Campus, ENVIHEI continues to bring sustainability closer to students through interactive and student-centered learning experiences, helping to connect environmental awareness with everyday university life.
