🌱 As part of the UHasselt Sustainability Week 2026, held from 27 to 30 April at Campus Diepenbeek, the ENVIHEI project was presented during a dedicated lunch session on educational innovation in sustainability.
🎓 On Wednesday 29 April (12:30–13:30), Prof. Tom Kuppens from the ENVIHEI team contributed to the session “Discover three innovative educational projects on sustainability”, which brought together ongoing initiatives within the university’s sustainability education programme.

🔄 The session highlighted three interdisciplinary educational trajectories in which sustainability is integrated into teaching, learning, and collaboration between students, staff, and external partners. Participants attended two out of three parallel 30-minute presentations, creating opportunities for exchange, inspiration, and reflection on different approaches to sustainability education.
🌿 During the ENVIHEI presentation, attended by 10 participants, the project’s focus on student-centred learning for environmental sustainability in higher education was showcased, together with its contribution to developing sustainability competences through innovative pedagogical approaches.
🤝 The session emphasised how sustainability is increasingly embedded in UHasselt’s educational practice and how such initiatives create opportunities for dialogue, co-creation, and the transfer of innovative teaching approaches across disciplines.
