ENVIHEI

General Aim

ENVIHEI integrates 'GreenComp' into higher education, empowering future engineers and professionals with the skills to lead the green transition and drive sustainable change

ENVIHEI aims to integrate green competences into Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) by developing and testing innovative educational materials that foster student-centered learning approaches. The project seeks to address the EU sustainability competence framework ‘GreenComp’ by equipping technical and engineering students, along with their lecturers, with the knowledge, skills, and attitudes necessary for environmental sustainability. Through collaborative and participatory learning methodologies, ENVIHEI aspires to empower future professionals to actively contribute to the green transition and responsible citizenship.

Specific Aims

Develop and implement innovative educational materials that incorporate sustainability principles into HEI curricula, ensuring accessibility and adaptability across different student profiles in the EU.

Engage and train lecturers through awareness-raising and knowledge-sharing online activities, equipping them with effective teaching strategies to foster sustainability competencies in students.

Test and refine educational materials through interactive training programs, including a pilot winter school where students and lecturers collaborate in real-world problem-solving activities.

Enhance transformative learning experiences by integrating pedagogical methodologies such as Problem/Project-Based Learning (PBL), Real-Case Studies, and Service-Learning, fostering critical thinking and hands-on engagement.

Promote dissemination, transferability, and sustainability of project outcomes through storytelling showcase events, scaling successful practices, and ensuring open-access resources via the project website (envihei.eu) in multiple languages.
