Last weeks, ENVIHEI was proudly represented at an online Erasmus+ Info Session hosted by Hasselt University, where Dr Alex Mifsud shared her experiences and insights from working on ENVIHEI with a broader European audience.
During the event organised under the Erasmus+ program framework, Alex discussed how the ENVIHEI project contributes to transformative sustainability education, highlighting how our approaches help bridge the gap between sustainability knowledge and real-world action. Her presentation illustrated ENVIHEI’s commitment to student-centred learning, Professional Development Programs for educators, and cross-institutional collaboration, key elements of our work with partner universities across Europe.
The session also emphasised an important element that makes ENVIHEI a good example for collaboration in an Erasmus+ project. This is the connection between ENVIHEI and the EURECA-PRO Alliance, a vibrant network of universities working together on responsible consumption and production, and broader sustainability goals. In fact, four of us (Hasselt University; Universidad de León; Silesian University of Technology; and Montanuniversität Leoben) are core partners in this alliance, contributing to joint initiatives that foster innovative teaching, research, and international cooperation.
For participants and followers alike, Alex’s discussion offered valuable insights into how ENVIHEI supports educators and learners to build green competences and integrate sustainability more meaningfully into higher education.
