The ENVIHEI project has officially launched its pilot implementation phase at the partner universities, marking an important step toward integrating sustainability and green competences into higher education teaching practices.
During this phase, lecturers who participated in the ENVIHEI Professional Development Program (PDP) are now applying Project-Based Learning (PBL) methodologies in their courses, introducing real sustainability challenges into the classroom. These projects are designed not only to enhance technical knowledge but also to foster critical thinking, teamwork, and environmental awareness among students.
More than 300 students from a wide range of disciplines like Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Data Engineering and Artificial Intelligence, Computer Engineering, and International Marketing are actively taking part in these innovative learning experiences. By working on hands-on projects with a sustainability lens, they are encouraged to connect academic knowledge with real-world environmental challenges.
To assess the impact of these pilots, surveys are being conducted before and after the implementation, helping evaluate the development of green competences and the added value of PBL methodologies in different academic contexts.
This pilot phase represents an exciting milestone for ENVIHEI, showcasing how collaborative and student-centered approaches can prepare future professionals to contribute meaningfully to the green transition.
Stay tuned for further updates as the pilot projects continue to unfold across partner universities!
