Dan Jiang is affiliated to the UNESCO Center for Problem-Based Learning in Engineering Science and Sustainability at Aalborg University in Denmark. Her research focuses on intercultural PBL context in engineering education, with a special focus on students’ adaptability and learner agency development. Her PhD entitled ‘Transformative learning for sustainability in business economics education: barriers and enablers’ was the start of her academic career. She is passionated by education for sustainable development and her research interests are related to transformative learning for sustainability and transdisciplinary co-creation of educational commons to support ESD and education for sustainable development in general. As a postdoctoral researcher, she is involved in different (applied) research projects.

Alex Mifsud

PhD in Education for Sustainable Development. Deputy Programme Leader: Master in Global Sustainable Business Management, Northumbria University Amsterdam; and Research Fellow at the School of Educational Studies, UHasselt. Her expertise lies in ESD, where she has lectured, supervised student research, and developed ESD courses for diverse audiences. She designed and delivered Carbon Literacy Training courses to university staff and students internationally.
