β¨The selection process for the ENVIHEI Winter School has officially been completed.
All selected students have already been contacted via email with the confirmation of their participation in this unique learning experience, which brings together students from different countries to work on sustainability challenges through Project-Based Learning (PBL).
Given the high number of applications (309 students from 7 countries and 12 universities) it was not possible to include everyone. A waiting list has also been created, and students on this list will be contacted as soon as possible if any selected participant declines their place.
During the Winter School, students will work in interdisciplinary and international teams on five exciting sustainability-related PBL projects:
- Recovering metals from used mobile phones β designing an educational board or online game to raise awareness about metal recycling and resource efficiency.
 - Developing a sustainable irrigation system β creating a smart system that optimizes water use in agriculture while promoting responsible resource management.
 - Eco-innovation in metal production β exploring eco-materials and eco-technologies to make industrial processes cleaner and more sustainable.
 - Redesigning an electric bicycle β integrating environmental sustainability criteria into design, production, and product life cycle to reduce carbon footprint.
 - Exploring energy efficiency through electromagnetism β analyzing radiation and power losses in electronic circuits to foster responsible consumption and efficient design.

π We would like to sincerely thank all applicants for their enthusiasm, interest, and commitment to sustainability and innovation in higher education. The response to this call has been truly inspiring and reinforces the growing interest in contributing to a greener future.
Stay tuned for more updates as we get ready to welcome the participants to the ENVIHEI Winter School!
