During his talk, Chechu shared valuable insights into how the cycling industry is working to reduce the carbon footprint of bicycle production through new materials, design optimization, and life-cycle analysis. He also discussed current sports regulations and the challenges of balancing performance with environmental responsibility.
This session took place within the course Project Management in the Bachelorβs Degree in Mechanical Engineering, taught by Professor Gabriel Medina, where students are currently developing a Project-Based Learning (PBL) activity as part of the ENVIHEI pilot implementation.

Participants actively engaged in the discussion, exchanging ideas about sustainability, design, and innovation in the sports industry.
This activity reflects ENVIHEIβs mission to connect education with real-world sustainability challenges, fostering meaningful collaboration between students, educators, and industry professionals.
β¨ MMR Bikesβ contribution greatly enriched the studentsβ learning experience, linking academic knowledge with practical applications for a more sustainable and responsible future in engineering.
Stay tuned for more updates on ENVIHEIβs pilot implementations and collaborations with industry!
